Danish Embassy Officials Explore Collaborative Opportunities at Thailand Science Park

On 24th July 2023, the Science Park of Thailand (TSP) was pleased to welcome Mr. Henning Høy Nygaard - Minister-Counsellor and Ms. Kanokwan Khunnaprat, a Trade Advisor from the Royal Danish Embassy in Thailand.

Dr. Sanat Wongtaweethong, the Deputy Director of Thailand Science Park and Ms. Chompoonuch Anusardsittikit, the Director of Business and Innovation Cluster Development Division, extended a warm welcome and presented an overview of the roles and responsibilities of TSP. They further outlined the readiness of TSP in accommodating global research ventures and opportunities to expand collaborative research networks with other nations.

Dr. Akeanong Jangbua, Director of Food Innopolis, provided an overview of the role of Food Innopolis in developing food innovation clusters, both domestically and internationally. The tour also included a visit to Siam Modified Starch, Co.,Ltd., a tech-company focusing on R&D of starch applications in the food industry, sensory testing, and coordination of research and development with national research centres, and the TSP community.

This visit furnished the Embassy with insights into the potential benefits and opportunities for collaboration with businesses seeking to expand their operations in Thailand. It also paved the way for potential partnerships between Thailand and Danish private sectors.
