About TSP
Thailand Science Park (TSP), the country’s first science and technology park, established its first phase in 2002 with the mission to promote innovation development and R&D activities in the private sector. TSP builds the ecosystem to promote and support R&D linkage between government and private sector and stimulate the creation of new technology businesses.
Phase 1 of Thailand Science Park, with 140,000 square meters of built-up space, is fully occupied by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), its five national research centers, namely National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC), National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), National Nanotechnology Center (NANOTEC) and National Energy Technology Center (ENTEC) and over 120 corporate tenants, of which 35 percent are international companies. This close proximity provides an opportunity for corporate tenants to gain access to highly-skilled personnel, including 3,000 full-time NSTDA researchers, of whom some 800 are Ph.D. scientists.
To meet rapidly growing demands, Thailand Science Park has expanded into Phase 2. The new state of the art infrastructure for Thailand Science Park Phase 2 is named Innovation Cluster 2 or INC 2. With this enlargement, the park is now the largest fully-integrated research and development hub in Thailand.
