Cyberport Delegation Visits Thailand Science Park to Strengthen Collaboration and Explore Opportunities for Startups
On March 12, 2025, Mr. Henry Li, Head of Ecosystem Development at Cyberport, accompanied by Prof. Joseph Koc, Global Ambassador of Cyberport and Advisor to TSP, visited Thailand Science Park (TSP) to strengthen collaboration between the two innovation hubs. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Sanat Wongthawethong, Deputy Executive Director of TSP, and Ms. Chompoonuch Anusardsittikit, Director of Business and Innovation Cluster Development Division, who led them on a tour of TSP’s R&D facilities.
This visit builds upon the success of the webinar “Pathway to Thailand”, which was jointly organized in December 2024. The webinar highlighted Thailand’s potential as a strategic market for startups, attracting strong interest from Cyberport’s startup community. Several Cyberport startups have since expressed their intention to expand their businesses into Thailand, leveraging TSP as a springboard for their regional operations.
During the visit, discussions focused on exploring ways to facilitate the soft landing of Cyberport startups in Thailand, including potential support mechanisms, and strategic partnerships with local industry players. Both parties exchanged insights on fostering a dynamic innovation ecosystem that connects Hong Kong and Thailand, aiming to enhance cross-border collaboration and technology commercialization.
TSP and Cyberport reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing high-potential startups and deepening their partnership through ongoing engagements. This visit marks an important step towards fostering a thriving innovation corridor between Thailand and Hong Kong, paving the way for future joint initiatives that will benefit the regional startup ecosystem.
