CEO of Sophia Antipolis Science & Technology Park Visits Thailand Science Park
On 8 November 2024, at Thailand Science Park (TSP), Pathum Thani - Mr. Philippe Servetti, CEO of Fondation Sophia Antipolis from France, visited TSP, which operates under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). His visit aimed to explore opportunities for collaboration between the two science parks in Thailand and France.
The visit featured presentations from Ms. Chompoonuch Anusardsittikit, Director of Business and Innovation Cluster Development, and Dr. Prapatsorn Wejprasit, who shared TSP's mission and activities. Dr. Nitipol Srimongkolpitak, a researcher from BIOTEC, provided insights into BIOTEC's work on biotechnology for industrial applications, along with members of the BIOTEC International Collaboration Team who warmly welcomed Mr. Philippe.
Following presentations from TSP, BIOTEC, and Sophia Antipolis, Mr. Philippe also met with Dr. Tawin Iempridee, a researcher from NANOTEC and CEO of Kronolife, an anti-aging tech startup. Kronolife develops products targeting the root causes of aging, such as "zombie cells" and aging hallmarks, with products that include active compounds, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and R&D services. The discussion explored potential business expansion in France.
In the final part of his visit, TSP executives took Mr. Philippe to tour the SMS Creative X Centre, managed by Siam Modified Starch Co., Ltd., which conducts R&D on modified starch applications for the food industry and sensory testing.
Mr. Philippe expressed keen interest in collaboration opportunities, both in joint research with national research centres and in partnerships with over 120 private companies located within TSP, which he sees as potential partners for advancing mutual business and innovation with companies at Sophia Antipolis Science & Technology Park.
