Thailand Science Park (TSP) has been selected as a TED Fellow under the Technology and Innovation-based Enterprise Development Fund (TED Fund). Its responsibilities include recruiting, screening, and nurturing entrepreneurs through business plan development, offering advisory services, expert consultation, facilities, project proposal preparation, and various recommendations to entrepreneurs interested in applying for support under the TED Youth Startup (TYS) program of the TED Fund. Additionally, it serves as a liaison to facilitate close coordination between the fund and the entrepreneurs.

How TSP Supports Entrepreneurs

  1. Providing consultation on project implementation and business planning.
  2. Organizing training and seminars to enhance business and marketing knowledge.
  3. Facilitating research collaboration (joint research or contract research) and assisting in obtaining licenses for the utilization of research outputs (Licensing) from NSTDA and its network for commercialization purposes.
  4. Offering knowledge and connecting entrepreneurs with NSTDA's support mechanisms, such as the ITAP program, research certification programs for 200% tax deductions, technology evaluation and ranking, and the innovation procurement program.
  5. Connecting and promoting collaboration with business partners.
  6. Linking entrepreneurs with investor networks, providing opportunities to pitch their businesses to investors and corporate groups, fostering opportunities for joint ventures and fundraising.
  7. Bridging entrepreneurial achievements to international competition platforms.

Types of Funding Support

  1. POC (Incubator Incentive Program) - Provides funding of up to 90% of the project value, capped at 1,500,000 THB, to further develop product or service prototypes for market readiness.
  2. IDEA (Ideation Incentive Program) - Offers non-repayable grants of up to 100,000 THB for developing prototypes (mockups) and comprehensive business plans.
