Thailand Science Park (TSP), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), officially launched the TSP Scale X Landing Program, a new initiative designed to support international startups entering Thailand and ASEAN while enabling Thai startups to expand into global markets through an integrated innovation ecosystem.
Developed under the concept of "Two Journeys. One Ecosystem.", the program aims to address one of the most significant challenges facing startups today: expanding beyond their home markets. While access to funding remains important, successful market expansion increasingly depends on the ability to access industry partners, customers, talent, research capabilities, and business networks.
The launch brought together representatives from more than 20 organizations spanning government agencies, universities, industry leaders, investors, and innovation ecosystem partners, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening Thailand's position as a regional hub for innovation and technology driven entrepreneurship. The initiative is supported by organizations under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DE), the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), as well as Thailand Science Park's network of Investment Partners, Professional Service Partners, Education Partners, Ecosystem Partners, and Technology Partners.

Building an Ecosystem for Startup Growth
Dr. Chularat Tanprasert, Executive Vice President of NSTDA and Director of Thailand Science Park, innovation today can no longer be created by individual organizations working in isolation. Instead, sustainable growth depends on collaboration between research institutions, industry, investors, entrepreneurs, and government agencies.
"The challenge facing startups is not only technology development, but also access to customers, markets, industry partners, talent, and suitable funding opportunities. No startup grows alone, particularly when expanding into new markets," she said.
Under the TSP Scale X Landing Program, Thailand Science Park will serve as an Ecosystem Orchestrator, connecting the capabilities of different stakeholders to help startups reduce risk, shorten time to market, and accelerate commercialization opportunities.
Supporting Two Startup Journeys Through One Ecosystem
For international startups, the program follows the framework of Land • Localize • Commercialize, providing support from market entry and company establishment through business matching, pilot projects, product localization, and commercialization opportunities in Thailand and ASEAN.
For Thai startups, the program aims to facilitate international growth by connecting companies with global partners, overseas soft-landing programs, investors, industry collaborators, and new market opportunities through Thailand Science Park's expanding international network.
The dual pathway approach reflects Thailand Science Park's ambition to position Thailand not only as a destination market but also as a launchpad for regional and international expansion.
Access to National Research and Innovation Infrastructure
One of the program's distinguishing strengths is its ability to connect startups with Thailand's national research and innovation infrastructure through a single platform.
Participating companies will have opportunities to access researchers from NSTDA's five national research centers, advanced laboratories, testing and standardization services, pilot facilities, and a community of more than 120 technology companies located within Thailand Science Park.
This integrated support environment is intended to help startups validate technologies, develop pilot projects, and accelerate their path toward commercial deployment.
Strengthening Thailand's Role as a Gateway to ASEAN
As competition to attract technology companies and innovation driven businesses intensifies across the region, Thailand Science Park believes that the ability to connect people, technology, capital, and markets will become increasingly important in determining national competitiveness.
The launch of the TSP Scale X Landing Program represents more than the introduction of a new startup initiative. It reflects a shift from traditional startup support models focused primarily on incubation and funding toward creating real business opportunities, industry collaborations, and market access through ecosystem partnerships.
Through this initiative, Thailand Science Park aims to further strengthen Thailand's position as an innovation hub and gateway to ASEAN for technology companies seeking regional growth opportunities.
