On 28 April 2026, Thailand Science Park (TSP), under the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), continued to strengthen its collaboration with Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited, Hong Kong’s leading innovation and technology hub, following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing innovation collaboration and creating business opportunities between Thailand and Hong Kong.
On this occasion, Dr. Chularat Tanprasert, Director of Thailand Science Park and Executive vice president to NSTDA, led executives from Cyberport, including Ir Eric Chan, Chief Public Mission officer and Mr. Henry Li, Head of Ecosystem Development at Cyberport, accompanied by Professor Joseph KOC, Cyberport Global ambassador to the ASEAN and Advisor to TSP, to meet with Darwintec Solutions (Thailand) Co.,Ltd, a Thai Deep Tech startup specializing in Data and AI solutions. The company has developed a nutrition and health platform for educational institutions, and the discussion explored opportunities for technology expansion and international market growth.
The delegation later held discussions with SCG Building Materials Co., Ltd., a leading construction materials and industrial innovation solutions provider, and one of the private sector companies based at Thailand Science Park. The meeting focused on exploring potential collaboration in applying AI solutions from startups within the Cyberport ecosystem to enhance operational efficiency within SCG Building Materials. The collaboration mechanism between the science parks of both countries is expected to serve as a bridge connecting international startups with leading industrial partners in Thailand, enabling opportunities for technology pilots, market validation, and business expansion.
Following the discussions, the delegation visited Synergy Group, a digital technology and innovation incubation center dedicated to supporting tech startups, SMEs, and innovators, particularly in the areas of IoT, smart solutions, and digital innovation. The visit provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on technology development and pathways towards commercial implementation.
Thailand Science Park is preparing to further extend this collaboration through the TSP Scale X Landing Program, designed to support both Thai and international startups in market validation, industrial engagement, and access to research and testing infrastructure. The program aims to reduce the cost and risks associated with market expansion while accelerating business growth through domestic and international partner networks.
The programmed will also provide support in business strategy development, technology and market expansion consultancy, as well as connections to funding sources and relevant business networks, enabling startups to enter the market more efficiently. Applications for the program are expected to open in early July 2026.
This collaboration further builds upon the partnership established with Qianhai Shenzhen–Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (EHub) in November 2025, one of the key startup incubation and acceleration platforms within the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Thailand Science Park aims for its collaboration with Cyberport to become an important mechanism in connecting the innovation ecosystems of Thailand, Hong Kong, and China, enabling startups to gain tangible access to regional and global markets, technologies, and strategic partner networks.
